Newport creates product development position

Portland, OR — A new position at decorative pillow and bedding manufacturer Newport was created for Jessica Tweedie.

Tweedie, formerly a senior associate buyer for Bloomingdale's By Mail, has been hired as product development manager. She will work to coordinate product and serve as the liaison between the sample department at the factory and the fashion department, headed by Belinda Ballash, vp and fashion director.

Tweedie reports to both Sandy Uhalde, vp, operations, and Ballash. She relocated to Portland from New York for the position.
