BJ’s promotes Gallagher to head operations

Natick,Mass.-- BJ's Wholesale Club has promoted Thomas Gallagher to executive vp of store operations. He will report directly to BJ's chairman of the board and interim ceo Herb Zarkin. Gallagher succeeds Ed Giles, who has left the company.

Gallagher has more than 30 years of experience in retail operations, and came to BJ’s in 1991 as a regional manager, advancing through positions of increasing responsibility in operations, both at BJ's and a sister company, House2Home. Most recently, he was 172-store BJ’s senior vp of operations.
