Lynn joins exodus from Glenoit
By Cecile B. Corral -- Home Textiles Today, 3/30/2001 12:00:00 AM
NEW YORK - Bernie Lynn, a 38-year veteran of the home textile industry has exited Glenoit, courtesy of the bankruptcy court.
As of early March, his former employer, Glenoit Corp., petitioned a Delaware bankruptcy court to reject Lynn's five-year contract with the company. Lynn, who was two-and-a-half years into his contract, was working as the vp of manufacturing for the firm's Madison Landing upscale decorative pillow division, part of the Ex-Cell Home Fashions branch of Glenoit.
Lynn's departure is the most recent in a string of departures-both contract terminations and resignations-from Glenoit Corp.
Lester "Dupuy" Sears, former cfo of Glenoit, resigned once his contract ended on Dec. 31.
About one month ago, Bill Rhymer, former controller, resigned.
More recently Elizabeth Miller, formerly design director for Ex-Cell, resigned in late March to become the new vp of bath design for New York-based CHF Industries.
