IFDA 'Green Design' Seminar Set

The New York Chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) will present a seminar, "Great Design is Green Design," covering sustainability as a principle in home and commercial design.
Speakers will include Maggie Wood, principal of Maggie Wood Design, who consults on construction materials, water and energy use, paint, furnishings and appliances; and Michael Ekstract, a founder and vp at the new consumer green lifestyle magazine Verdant.
The event, to be held Wednesday, May 14 at the Miele Gallery, Architects and Design Building, 150 East 58th Street, is aimed at interior designers, architects, product designers and others active in the home furnishings industry.
