Hancock Fabrics taps merchant Gail Moore

Baldwyn, Miss. -- Hancock Fabrics has named Gail Moore senior vp and chief merchandising officer, reporting to ceo Jane Aggers. In addition to supervising merchandising strategy and assortment planning for the sewing, crafts and home décor chain, Moore will also head up souring and private label development for Hancock Fabrics.
Moore was formerly svp and dmm at 600-unit retailer Fred’s. Prior to that she served in merchandising with discounter Dollar General and Belk department stores.
