Carpet One Names Shaw Area Rug 'Chosen One'

The versatile, multi-colored Madison pattern from the Global Traditions collection by Shaw Living earned special kudos during the recent summer convention of Carpet One Floor & Home, held in Nashville.

Carpet One invited members to vote for the best overall area rug presented by participating vendors. After tallying the votes, it was announced that Madison of Global Traditions was this year's "Chosen One" area rug.

Madison depicts vibrant, multi-colored blocks softened by a design of leaves and scrollwork inspired by European textiles.

The rug is made in the United States and constructed of Shaw's own trademarked Evertouch nylon, which is recyclable back into nylon yarn for use in making future area rugs.

"The Global Traditions collection of refined traditional rugs flaunts gorgeous application of color and design," said Debbie Plott, buying group manager for Shaw Living. Plott said that by pairing the patterns "with the exclusivity to Carpet One Floor & Home members," has yielded a winning combination for sell-through.

Carpet One Floor & Home is a floor covering retailer encompassing more than 1,000 independently owned and operated locations in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
