Liebenow named chairman of U.S. Chamber of Commerce board

Washington — Larry Liebenow, president and ceo of Quaker Fabric, has been named chairman of the United States Chamber of Commerce board of directors for 2002 to 2003.
Liebenow has served on the Chamber's board since 1996, most recently as vice chairman in 2001 to 2002. He also has worked closely with the Chamber's Center for International Private Enterprise, an affiliate that works to build democracy and market economies around the world.
During his term, Liebenow will work closely with state and local chambers, American chambers abroad and with other groups to educate business leaders on issues such as trade, tax relief and improving the image of business.
