Maffei-Toolan joins P/Kaufmann

New York – Pam Maffei-Toolan will become vp of design for P/K Lifestyles, a division of P/Kaufmann, effective March 31.

Maffei-Toolan has been working with P/K Lifestyles as the design director for its Waverly fabric license since last year, when P/Kaufmann acquired the decorative fabrics license. She also has been vp, design for NexCen Home Studios since it acquired the Waverly brand from F. Schumacher at the same time.

“I’ve been a big fan of hers and this move makes a great deal of sense,” said Ron Kaufmann, ceo of the decorative fabric company. “And we’re talking about expanding the P/K Lifestyles reach to other brand names. I think Pam can help expand our horizons.”

Said Maffei-Toolan, “I’m going to do what I really love to do – and everything about Waverly stems from the fabric.”

“This is a natural transition,” commented Rick Platt, NexCen Home Studios president. “After almost a year of working with us in all aspects of the brand, she will be purely working on the design of the line, which we will translate into other products.”
