Martha recruits Yahoo! sales maven

New York– Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO) has named Wenda Harris Millard president, media, a newly created position, effective July 16. With oversight of publishing, internet, and broadcasting activities, she will report to MSLO president and ceo Susan Lyne.
Millard has served as chief sales officer of Yahoo! since 2001. Prior to that, she was chief internet officer at Ziff Davis Media and president of Ziff Davis Internet, and previously an evp and a founder of DoubleClick. She also formerly held magazine publishing roles with Family Circle, Adweek, and Working Woman.
Millard has served on the MSLO board of directors for three years, a post she will resign upon taking on her new role.
MSLO broadcasting president Sheraton Kalouria will continue to report to Lyne. Publishing president Lauren Stanich will assume an advisory role to the company.
