New York —
Responding to customers' requests for more coordinated product offerings, embellished towel manufacturer Avanti Linens branched out this New York Home Textiles Market with the addition of shower curtains, tub mats and decorative pillows.
Initially, the company is offering these product categories as coordinates to its new Garden Room bath ensemble collection.
The tub mats, which come in a standard size, are made by Avanti domestically. The decorative pillows and shower curtains are imported from overseas.
Retail price points are set at $17 to $25 for the decorative pillows, which come in three sizes; $50 for the shower curtains, which are embroidered and made of 100 percent cotton and come with a valance; and $20 for the embroidered terry tub mats.
For April, the company will offer these coordinate products to more collections, said Jeffrey Kaufman, president and chief operating officer.
In other news, Avanti showed its new $10 bath towel program. Kaufman said the company recently updated its embellished hand and tip towel collection to include a coordinating bath towel. The result is bath ensembles in six of the line's most popular design icons. The hand towels retail for $8 and the tip for $6.
