New York —
Dohler USA, a subsidiary of Dohler SA Brasil best known in North America for its bath and beach towel lines, is entering the matelasse business with the debut of new products during the New York Home Textiles Market.
The Brazilian textiles manufacturer has installed 52 new high-tech jumbo looms and also handles finishing in-house through its vertical setup.
The product range will consist of 100 percent cotton matelasse bedspreads, coverlets, and shams in all American sizes, up to 108-by-95 inches. Goods are pre-shrunk to minimize shrinkage. Designs include solid piece-dyes and fiber-reactive yarn-dyes.
The program will be marketed both as private label and as branded.
