BOCA RATON -Hollander Home Fashions underscored its commitment to juvenile bedding with new patterns for its Todd Parr and Hank Player collections as well as introductions from its own design group.
"If anyone is wondering, we are still very strong in the juvenile bedding business," said Bob Levitt, president of the company's fashion division. "We're just focusing on the smaller licenses and what our design group can come up with."
"Best Friends" is the second pattern in the licensed Todd Parr collection of bedding and follows its predecessor with its bright, fun primary colorways. Whimsical Parr illustrations of boys and girls with a multi-colored dog adorn the bedding in a frame pattern.
Several licensed items for the bedroom and bathroom will also be introduced for spring market, including throws, wall borders and wallpaper cutouts, rugs, framed art, bathroom accessories and beach towels.
For its Hank Player line, "Sport Patch" is a graphic, all-sport motif. Up-close, realistic pictures of sneakers, sports equipment and balls from several sports adorn this juvenile boy-oriented line.
From its in-house designers, Hollander introduced Horizon; Pixie Chicks; Simply Divine; Marigold; Nadia; Scheherazade; Bengali; Devotion; and a new Cyberspace Cat ensemble.
Horizon, aimed at boys, is a sporty, bright, vibrant all-over stripe while, Pixie Chicks features colors reminiscent of Pixie Stix candy. Simple Divine is an attitude girl pattern adorned with teenage sayings and teenage girls dancing or listening to music. Marigold is a more dramatic, saturated floral pattern, while a purple, folkloric pattern decorates Nadia, and a dramatic Bohemian motif is featured on Scheherazade. Bengali is a patch look, and Devotion is a photo-realistic floral on a blue background with animal print coordinates also done in blue.
Rounding out the introductions is the latest Cyberspace Cat pattern with the cartoon cat surfing the web on a surfboard and using a mouse as a computer mouse.
