CHF, Avonhome to produce Vera textiles

CHF Industries and Avonhome will launch a cross-product home textiles line under the Vera license.

Vera, a noted designer of scarves and accessories in the mid-20th century, also was the first designer to develop cross-category home textiles coordinates, according to Joan Karron, executive vp, CHF.

Vera was noted for her hand-painted florals in exuberant colors and designs in white grounds. Colors were clear and bright, Karron added. CHF will launch three to four collections of bedding and three to four collections of bath at market week next month.

Avonhome will launch table linens and dec pillows in conjunction with this, Karron said.

The timing is perfect for a relaunch of her designs, Karron said. "The Baby Boomer generation grew up with her designs and their homes, and they are familiar with the looks and colors. We'll be doing some of the classics in 21st-century colors."
