Ellery hires Wilson for key accounts

NEW YORK — Brian Wilson has been named vice president of sales for Ellery Homestyles, LLC.

Wilson, who has been in the soft window coverings business for over 25 years, will work with select key accounts for Ellery Homestyles and be based here at 295 Fifth Ave.

Wilson got his start with Bruno Hofmann’s Interknitting Company, where he later became president of the renamed Hofmann Laces. Wilson stayed with the company after it was sold to Guilford Mills in 1996, remaining on until 2000. Subsequently, he worked with overseas manufacturers in Pakistan and Turkey serving the U.S. market.

In other news, Ellery Homestyles has nearly tripled the size of its showroom at 295 Fifth Ave. to accommodate its expansion into new products including decorative pillows and throws as well as slipcovers. The company also consolidated its Long Island executive and administrative offices to the Manhattan showroom space. Both spaces will be formally opened for the first time during the New York Home Textiles Market.
