New Quaker unit readies more moderately priced goods

FALL RIVER, MA — Davol, the new division of Quaker Fabrics, will launch 170 patterns at price points from $3.25 to $6.00 per yard during next month's Showtime trade fair in Atlanta. The new division — whose tagline is "Fabrics for Everyday Living" — is part of Quaker's strategy to build out beyond its traditional focus on the middle and upper ends of the business.
"This is a line by itself, not a lower-priced Quaker," chairman and ceo Larry Liebenow told HTT.
Liebenow himself is making news today. Late yesterday he was elected vice chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He has served on the Chamber's board since 1996, most recently as chairman of the International Policy Committee.
We would love your feedback!
