Saks realigns responsibilities, adds new executive

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 2/23/2004 12:00:00 AM

Saks Inc. has hired Terron Schaefer to take the new position of senior vice president of marketing for Saks Fifth Avenue.

With the recent resignation of Sheri Wilson-Gray, the division's executive vice president of marketing, the marketing organization has been restructured.

Schaefer will be responsible for marketing, public relations, fashion merchandising, creative brand management, catalog operations and visual merchandising. He will report to Andrew Jennings, who was recently named president and chief merchandising officer of Saks Fifth Avenue.

Rob Rosenblatt, senior vice president of customer relationship management, who formerly reported to Wilson-Gray, will now report to Jennings.

Schaefer most recently was worldwide creative director for Simon Property Group. His retail experience includes being senior vice president of marketing, worldwide retail, for Warner Bros., as well as holding positions at Macy's West, Galerias Preciados, Harrod's, Bloomingdale's and William Filene and Son.

Prior to joining Saks Fifth Avenue in October 2003 to spearhead the CRM efforts, Rosenblatt led CRM initiatives at American Express TRS Company, Virgin USA, and U.S. Loyalty Corporation.
