Mischinski to steer merchandising and marketing at WestPoint

New York -- WestPoint Home has named Paul Mischinski evp of merchandising and marketing, a new position at the company.

Mischinski, who starts in his new role today, brings to WestPoint close to 30 years of experience in multi-channel apparel, marketing and packaged goods organizations.

He was most recently founder and principal of Peak Direct Marketing, a direct-to-consumer catalog and internet business in women’s apparel and healthcare. Prior to that he was president and ceo of Maidenform, successfully leading the company’s financial and operational turnaround. He was previously president and ceo of intimate apparel company Bali and held various positions in divisions of Sara Lee Corporation and Playtex Products. 

Mischinski will be based in WestPoint Home’s New York corporate headquarters and report to John Piazza, president and ceo. Reporting to Mischinski will be Joan Scotto, svp bed merchandising; Linda DelPozo, svp bath merchandising; Tom Burke, vp merchandising basic bedding; and Nancy Golden, vp marketing and sales management.

Piazza said he and his team “believe [Mischinski’s] successful track record in sales and marketing will be invaluable as the company re-establishes itself as the premier innovator of branded and private label home textile products.”
