Bloomies celebrates Barbara Barry Dream bedding launch

New York – Bloomingdale’s formal launch this week of Barbara Barry Dream, the bedding created by the California interior designer, marked a first for the flagship store – three major windows featuring home textiles on the Lexington Avenue side of the Manhattan store.

“When we first talked with Barbara about designing a collection, it was for furniture as the beginning of a whole lifestyle program,” explained Joe Laneve, senior vp, home. The bedding, from licensee DWI Holdings, “adds to a greater whole, and we showed a few of the new furniture pieces as well. In the fall we’ll launch the tabletop in a similar fashion.”

Already, Laneve added, “the bedding collection is doing very well; it’s ahead of our expectations.”
