New York — Three new Grand Hotel Collection beds bring the Jane Seymour Home Collection more into a transitional mood than in the past.

Stonecliffe, a plaid mixing stone, taupe, khaki, and steel gray is the most transitional, even bordering on contemporary, according to Howard Winkler, senior vice president, home, for Saks Department Store Group, the exclusive retailer for the collection.

An array of decorative pillows — pleated, tufted, ruffled or tailored — allow the Stonecliffe bed to be more traditional or more contemporary at will. Decorative accents, from throws to lamps, are included.

Regal Suite, another in the Grand Hotel group, is a contemporary subtle stripe in soft neutrals, accented with a Greek key trim. Decorative pillows are tailored and sleek. Again, lamps, accessories, throws and bath towels are part of the design statement, Winkler said.

Stonecliffe and Regal Suite retail at $299 for the queen.

Hamilton, one of the two introductions in the St. Catherine's Court collection, reflects the gardens around Seymour's 14th century Tudor manor in England “with more color mix than past combinations,” said Winkler.

Georgian Court, also in the St. Catherine's Court collection, reflects the continuing importance of reds in bed ensembles, he noted.

Saks has expanded the solid color towel and sheet offerings throughout the line, reflecting customer requests for both, as well as more accessories for use throughout the house including lamps, and musical eggs — “a key item,” he noted.

New to the collection are glass charger plates decorated with Seymour's floral artwork with a $12 retail each.

Of the carryovers from the earlier lines, Elderberry is the top seller, Veranda is #2, Pacific Floral and Mckinac Island are #3 and #4, respectively.
