ShopKo promotes Gentry to ops post

GREEN BAY, Wis. — ShopKo Stores, Inc. has promoted Larry Gentry to senior vice president of store operations for the company's 140 store ShopKo division.
In addition to directing the management and operation of all ShopKo stores, Gentry assumes responsibility for store merchandise presentation, loss prevention, process improvement and resource management.
Gentry joined ShopKo in 2003 as vice president, store operations. Prior to ShopKo, he worked in store operations management for 27 years at Fred Meyer, Portland, Ore.
"Larry's leadership in the past year has been important as we focused on improving the company's performance. He is unwavering in his commitment to meeting the needs of our customers and shareholders, and I have no doubt Larry will continue to serve the company well," said Sam Duncan, president and CEO of ShopKo Stores, Inc.
Gentry replaces Dan Bolstad who left the company for personal reasons.
