Plano, Texas — —
Plano, Texas —A major expansion of its recently launched Chris Madden Hotel collection and four to six new bedding collections featuring luxury fabrications and applications will be among the highlights of the Chris Madden Home Collection at JCPenney in 2006.
The Collection also will debut made-to-measure window treatments and decorative hardware and tabletop. Rugs, home décor, furniture and window coverings all will have major expansions of new product.
The Hotel Collection will focus on “healthy living” with hypo-allergenic products, said Deb Evans, JCPenney vice president, product development, home. The centerpiece will be a comforter with a “down alternative fill and a 600 count silk-rich cover,” Evans explained. Other Hotel items will be pillows, mattress pads and a new towel range at $11.99.
The new bedding styles “will reflect what we've learned from Chris and the customers. We've offered customers unparalleled luxury fabrications and applications, and the new items take this to another level with vermicelli, piecework and unique embroideries,” Evans said.
Penney will expand the Chris Madden sheet program to include damask styles. A new towel will be offered and new window treatments, already expanded, will represent twice the selection of the original, she noted.
