Karastan Launches American Treasures

New York —Consumers will be able to easily coordinate rugs, runners and carpeting from one room to another with a new program introduced by Karastan.
The American Treasures collection, which includes wall-to-wall carpeting with area rugs and hall and stair runners, offers nearly a dozen designs in its debut and nearly double that number planned by year-end, according to Dennis Thiets, Karastan's vp, sales.
The collection that launched earlier this month at ABC Carpet & Home here features primarily New Zealand wool fiber woven on Wilton and Axminster looms. The merchandise in each configuration, including some Karastan top-selling area rugs from the Original Karastan, English Manor and East Winds collections, are in stock, Thiets said.
