Bridgeford promoted to top strategic post

MOORESVILLE, N.C. —

Lowe's Companies has promoted Gregory M. Bridgeford to executive vice president of Business Development.

Bridgeford, a 22-year Lowe's veteran, oversees all aspects of Lowe's development of new business opportunities, strategic planning, research and business-process improvement.

He previously served as senior vice president of Business Development.

Bridgeford joined Lowe's in 1982 and has served in a variety of senior positions.

Bridgeford was a member of the team that wrote a new corporate vision for the company in 1989, ultimately setting the company on its current strategic path.
