Caesarea Creations bows green & techno lines

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 8/1/2006 1:40:00 PM

New York – Caesarea Creations is coming out with a slate of new introductions that focus on eco-friendly and microfiber constructions.

The company has signed a licensing agreement with Under the Canopy to produce a line of organic cotton bath rugs and area rugs. Under the Canopy is a pioneer in the organic fashion industry, with an emphasis on clothing made of organic cotton, Tencel (a cellulose fiber), hemp, silks and wool as well as Eco-Fleece, which is made from recycled soda bottles.

Caesarea is also lunching a blended fiber made with corn. The product not only taps into the interest in working with renewable resources, but “corn gives the product a sheen and adds a soft touch,” said Gidi Landau, senior vp, sales and marketing.

The company is also introducing the exclusive Caesar MicroCotton blend, and expanding its Spa collection, Landau added.
