Royale Linens expands warehousing

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 8/6/2004 12:00:00 AM

KEARNY, N.J. — Sheet manufacturer and importer Royale Linens Inc. has purchased a 60,000-square-foot warehouse here, boosting its square footage by 50 percent.

The new facility, located within a mile of its existing office and warehousing facility in Kearny, will help the company handle its growing business of in-line replenishment programs, according to Dave Kaliski, president.

Said Nazar Nazarian, chairman and CEO, "The addition of this facility, with the eight indoor truck docks and high ceiling, will provide the company with much needed space to service our growing base of customers and the growing complexity of the products that we serve."

The company is also upgrading its computer systems so that there is a seamless link between retailers, the U.S. warehousing facility and its manufacturing plant in Pakistan. The new Web-based MRP system "will close the loop," according to Frank Snow, vice president of operations.

He added, "It will also give us better forecasting and get everybody in synch on what's being made and what's in transit."

The company produces printed and solid-color bed linens. Its blended-sheet sets range from 180 up to 250 counts; its all-cotton sets include 200 and 220 counts; and its sateen sets run from 230 count to 400 count.
