Carpenter bows new memory foam technology

-- Home Textiles Today, 3/3/2010 1:58:00 PM

Richmond, Va. – Utility bedding manufacturer Carpenter Co. is set to introduce Avena, which it claims is “the latest in memory foam technology.”

According to the company, the new chemistry gives the foam a silky hand, responds quicker to the body and resets quicker to its original shape, eliminating the crater effect of older chemistry.    The foam features Comfort Cell Technology designed to move air through and around the foam to eliminate over heating. The foam is featured in the company’s Isotonic Platinum, which includes a gel that ‘sleeps cool.’

“This is the perfect foam for people who do not like memory foam but want the pressure relieving attributes and also need the support of a high resiliency foam,” said Dan Schecter, vp sales & marketing. “Avena represent the single most important breakthrough in comfort technology.  It responds to the body’s contour and relieves pressure but at the same time supports. As you know, memory foam is not support foam. Avena is the best of both worlds.”

For those that need a lullaby to sleep, Carpenter is also introducing NiteTunes, a polyester pillow made for those with a pocket that holds a MP3 player and head phones.
