Shaw promotes Gordon to new post

Dalton, GA — Bill Gordon, who has worked for Shaw Rugs for almost 10 years, has been promoted to the new post of vp, national accounts. He was formerly the company's regional manager for the Southeastern and Southwestern U.S.
Prior to joining Shaw Rugs, Gordon worked as a regional manager for Dimension Carpet Mills, a division of Beaulieu, and before that as national sales manager for Sunshine Carpet Mills.
Shaw Rugs created Gordon's new post to help handle new accounts and added business, particularly with home centers, and promote new products, including bath rugs — which Shaw entered through its recent acquisition of Georgia Tufters. He reports to Jeff Meadows, Shaw Rugs' divisional vp.
