Newton, Mass. -- After two years, the two former Berkshire Blanket executives who formed Corra Consulting are ready to “pull the covers off the home textiles industry” as their business is projected to achieve 200% growth in 2008.
“Corra’s formula for success is simple -- market it as well as you make it,” according to company founders Chrissie McKinney and Ellen McNulty, who were Berkshire’s directors of design and marketing before forming Corra Consulting in 2005.
They report that their product and branding strategies are driving an average 30% comp store increase at retail for their clients’ programs.
Describing the business model, Corra said it “complements talented retail buying teams and their merchants, who frequently view interesting new concepts in raw form and want to see these products promptly make it to market. Corra’s process is designed to perfect the quality of an item and collaboratively work with buying teams on a design and branding direction that will be distinctive in the department and within the market as a whole.”
