HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL -Cross-merchandising online? The Great Indoors last week brought its unique brand of home furnishings retailing to the Internet with the launch of www.thegreatindoors.com.
The site breaks products into its signature indoor umbrella categories-Great Kitchens, Great Baths, Great Bedrooms, Great Rooms-and cross-merchandises a variety of soft goods and hard goods through a series of vignettes.
Within 15 bath accessory/ towel coordinates vignettes in Great Baths, for example, consumers find towels coordinated with shower curtains, soap dishes and other traditional accessories, as well as extras such as baluster tables.
