Wearbest taps Notero as vp sales/marketing

NEW YORK —

Tom Notero has been promoted to vice president, sales and marketing at Wearbest Sil-Tex Mills, a new position.

Notero, who has been director of sales, will continue to report to Irwin Gasner, president.

At the same time, the decorative fabrics mill has made additional organizational changes in the design and product development areas, Notero said.

"We now have senior designers for the different markets we serve — residential, mid-range, high end and contract — and junior designers to work in each segment. And now we've teamed them up with product development people who will focus on the specific markets. It will give us a more diverse handwriting."

Previously, there was a single, senior design director, but that position has not been filled since David Byers left the company last year.

"Tom is responsible for these exciting organizational changes which have enabled us to develop a much broader range of product at price points from $6.95 to $29.95," Gasner said.

Wearbest is an upholstery weaver focused on residential, contract, and hospitality.
