Chapman heads CHF design tech

NEW YORK —

CHF Industries has named Katy Chapman to the new position of design technologies director.

Joan Karron, CHF executive vp, said Chapman will be responsible for the company's CAD (computer-aided design) resources, "as well as keeping us current with new technologies in the field." Chapman will report directly to Karron.

Before joining CHF, Chapman managed her own business consulting to the textiles and apparel industries in CAD design services and system implementation. She had also worked at Springs Industries as CAD system supervisor and design development coordinator, where she managed the complete design development process for bedding products. She had also worked at Springs as CAD manager. Earlier, she had worked at Intimate Resources Ltd and Gitano Inc.

Chapman received a Bachelor of Sciences degree from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, with a concentration in fine arts. She also studied at the Pratt Institute, majoring in fashion design and merchandising.
