Sphinx hires Welch for Southwest sales

Dalton , Ga. – Sphinx by Oriental Weavers has hired 20-year floor covering industry veteran Kevin Welch, appointing him sales manager for the Southwest region
Based in Dallas , Welch's region spans 10 states, from western Tennessee to Arizona and Louisiana to Wyoming . He is responsible for developing new business and managing the region's sales staff.
Welch has spent the past several years working in various capacities for Sugar Valley, Ga.-based Karastan. Most recently he was Mountain region vp, supervising both rug and broadloom sales for that territory, and earlier he served as Southwest region vp and Midwest region vp for Karastan.
In his new post, he reports to Sphinx vp sales Paul Pauluzzi.
