Whitehead finds home as Domestications vp, merch.

WEEHAWKEN, NJ —

Jim Whitehead has joined Domestications, the home fashions catalog of Hanover Direct, as vp, merchandising. He will oversee the merchandising and sourcing for the catalog, and all of the catalog's merchants will report to him.

"I've known Jim for years, and I see it as a real opportunity for us," said Farley Nachemin, brand president of the catalog, and to whom Whitehead reports.

Whitehead was most recently vp, gmm at HomePlace of America, since 1997. Before that, he served as senior vp, merchandising and marketing at Pacific Linens, as well as vp, merchandising for textiles at Federated's Burdine's division.

Whitehead has already started in his new post, and is in the process of relocating to New Jersey.

He replaces Mike Romanko, who left in mid-May.
