Boca Raton, Fla. —Last week, Hollander Home Fashions named John Doherty to the newly created post of coo, effective immediately.
Doherty will directly oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations and the IT department, as well as provide guidance on operational policies, procedures and new business initiatives.
He was formerly managing director of India-based Wimco Ltd., the world's largest manufacturer of safety matches, and during his four-year term there turned the company to profitability. Earlier, he was senior operations vp for Tetley Tea USA.
“His strengths in developing and implementing strategy, building top-performing teams and creating an efficient work climate will be a great asset to Hollander as we continue to strengthen and expand our global operations,” said ceo Jeff Hollander.
