At the New York Market —
Foreston Trends has added accent rugs – and for special orders, even 5-by-8 sizes — to its core assortment of table linens and kitchen textiles, in hopes of giving customers a "more conceptual" product story.
"We're trying to lead customers to a whole concept of products that work together," Dick Gould, vp sales, told HTT. He said the response to customers is "a natural expansion for us."
In palettes of blue, green, red and brown, Foreston is pairing scatter-size tufted and braided rugs with placemats and cotton kitchen items for a complete look for the dining nook.
Foreston is also offering other types of rugs — polypropylene and PVC — in a separate collection. These rubber-backed styles come mainly as 20-by-30 pieces and are made to marry to placemats, but not kitchen towels.
We would love your feedback!
