New York - Target's pop-up Liberty of London store here has closed its doors halfway through what was to have been a four-day run.
The Midtown Manhattant location at 42nd St. and 6th Ave. opened Wednesday morning and was to remain open through the end of day tomorrow.
Today, visitors to the store were greeted by locked doors and a signs announcing that "due to unprecedented response" the merchandise had already sold out. At mid-day, workers inside appeared to be two-thirds of the way through dismantling the fixtures.
Signs on the doors advised would-be shoppers to visit their local Target stores, where Liberty of London officially launches on Sunday in apparel and home.
On the morning the store opened, several Twitterers reported standing in line to get inside.
We would love your feedback!
