Carlstadt, N.J. —
Pantone has released the winter 2010/2011 edition of the Pantone View Colour Planner, its cross-discipline color forecasting tool, titled "Mosaic," which showcases eight palettes for use in women's wear, menswear, active wear, cosmetics, lifestyle, industrial design and graphics.
Those palettes include:
-
Molecular: a mood that represents a vibrant and glowing theme built and organized around a mosaic, with faceted and unified parts with deep darks cast as positive and exciting;
-
Byzantine, which Pantone describes as recalling old mosaic shop signage, imperial clothes and palaces, and other architectural elements stripped of their historical context;
-
Urban Field, a botanical mosaic of macrobiotic tones, dehydrated and preserved greens, and toasted nuances;
-
Mimetic, which up close may appear to be a disorganized collection of pieces of color, but forms an organized image when seen from a distance;
-
Deconstructing/Reconstructing, giving new life to classic colors —navy, bottle green, pillar box red, ecru and mid grey — by blending them in innovative ways;
-
Neuro Networks, pairing the celestial and ethereal with high-tech or elegant raw aspects;
-
Multiple Identity, a subtle mutation of colors and textures. "Think of eye color after tears or no sleep, in bright sunlight or candlelight," explained Pantone.
-
Universe. Visions, featuring dynamic waves and veils of saturated, layered colors studded with starry accents, all set against a rich black backdrop.
We would love your feedback!
