Nautica taps Vendor Development for outdoor furnishings

New York – Lifestyle fashion brand Nautica Apparel has licensed Vendor Development Group to produce a residential outdoor home furnishings collection.

The line will include: seating, dining, occasional furniture, independent and coordinating patio and garden umbrellas, outdoor rugs, outdoor fireplaces, gazebos and hammocks. It is targeted to better outdoor/patio furniture retailers, starting with the spring 2009 season, Nautica said.

“This is a new category for Nautica and we look forward to building a mutually successful business together,” said Maria Vicari, president of global licensing, Nautica.
