Family Dollar promotes Causey

Matthews, N.C. -- Family Dollar Stores today announced that it has promoted Bryan Causey to the position of senior vp - planning, allocation and replenishment. Most recently, he served as vp - planning and merchandise control.
In his new role at the 6,300-unit neighborhood discounter, Causey reports to Charles Gibson, executive vp - supply chain.
"This year we initiated a multi-year initiative that we call Project Accelerate which is designed to optimize our merchandising and supply chain operations,” said Howard Levine, chairman and ceo. "Key to the success of this project is the partnership between our merchandising, supply chain and store operations organizations, and Bryan has worked tirelessly to create more disciplined planning processes and to develop strong cross-functional teams focused on driving improved inventory productivity.”
