Linwood, PA — As part of its strategy to grow through acquisition, Foamex has signed an agreement to purchase certain assets of General Foam Corporation (GFC), a manufacturer that did approximately $100 million in sales last year of polyurethane foam products for the automotive, industrial and home furnishings markets.
"This acquisition strengthens our automotive, technical products and foam products businesses and expands our product and service offerings to our customers," said Foamex president and ceo John Televantos.
Foamex did $1.3 billion in sales last year. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the month.
