Gehm named prez, Sheridan Home

NEW YORK —

Bob Gehm, a 20-year veteran of the home fashions industry, has been named president of Sheridan Home, the U.S. marketing arm of Sheridan Australia.

In his new post, he told Home Textiles Today, he will be responsible for all sales, marketing, merchandising, product development and design for the bedding producer.

He succeeds Terry Soldati, who left the company earlier. He reports to John Somers, ceo. He will work out of the company's offices and showroom at 295 Fifth Ave.

Before joining Sheridan, Gehm had most recently been executive vp of bed and bath at CHF Corp. Earlier he had worked at Franco Mfg., and prior to that had worked 15 years at West Point Stevens, including a stint as president of sales.

"It's a great brand with a lot of potential," said Gehm. "They have the right stuff, a great team and make wonderful product. It's a fantastic opportunity."
