Former HSN exec Aiu named ceo of ShopNBC

Minneapolis – Internet- and TV-based luxury retailer ShopNBC has named Rene Aiu president and ceo; she was previously svp of marketing, sales, programming and production at Home Shopping Network (HSN).

Aiu, who also formerly worked in management at JCPenney, will also become a member of the ShopNBC board of directors.

The company is owned and operated by ValueVision Media, which posted 2006 sales of $767 million.
