Focusing on fabrics

ATLANTA —

Sixty-five home furnishings fabrics companies will participate in Heimtextil Americas Fabrics from March 17 to March 19.

The exhibition will be held in Florida at the Miami Beach Convention Center and represents a new focus for the event sponsored by Messe Frankfurt. Previous Heimtextil Americas exhibitions also included home textiles finished products. The decision to focus on fabrics only for the home provides a niche exhibition "for our core exhibitors that have supported the show over the years," explained Elly McCloud, trade fair manager.

Of the exhibitors, 29 are domestic and 36 are from overseas, representing 16 countries and including decorative fabrics, upholstery fabrics and contract fabrics.

There will be an opening night party on March 17 at the Convention Center with a live steel band, hors d'oeuvres and drinks.

Two seminars and a color and trend exhibition also will be part of the program.
