New York —
Turkish area rug company Concord Global Trading has moved into a permanent showroom space at the AmericasMart in Atlanta.
Located in United Weavers' former spot, the showroom is in space 4-C-9.
It marks the company's second showroom, the first being at 295 Fifth Ave. in Manhattan.
Concord is a five-year-old manufacturer of machine-made area rugs from Turkey. It specializes in heat-set styles but will soon start weaving wool rugs.
“There are a lot of buyers that are not making it to the Domotex or New York home textiles shows, but they do Atlanta, especially in January,” said Gulben Aksu, co-owner and vice president. “We would like to add a lot of smaller accounts to our customer list and the Atlanta market is a good source for that.”
The July International Area Rug market will represent the company's second showing in Atlanta. In January, it leased a temporary space.
We would love your feedback!
