Revman champions color

At the New York Market – Revman International is placing a heavy emphasis on color this week across its many branded properties.
“The one over-riding aspect of our showroom: it’s very, very happy this market,” said Sheldon Good, vp, merchandising. “We have a lot of color.”
Under the Steve Madden line, Revman is bringing out four new beds, including Dahlia, a boldly colorful, painterly floral across an ivory ground on one side of the comforter and a black ground on the other. The company is also launching Steve Madden in bath and beach this market. Shower curtain constructions include cloth and PVC vinyl.
In Tommy Bahama, Revman is launching fashion window, with panels retailing from $39.99 to $49.99. In addition, the company is encouraging layering with color multiplier offerings in quilts and coverlets.
The Michael Kors collection “is really all about color and pattern,” said Good. One example is Bermuda, a bright green paisley reversing to a strip and paired with geometric print sheets.
The Laura Ashley collection this market addresses “that customer that’s looking for something traditional and that [other] customer that’s looking for something new and updated,” said Good.
Manor Hill, the company-branded, eight-piece bed-in-a-bag collection, has taken a new direction. “We were a lot of cut/sew, this/that,” said Good. “We’ve redesigned to give it a more modern lift.” In addition, sheet sets have gone to 300-count with triple pleating. Revman also added four more ounces of fill to bring fill to 11 ounces.
Said president and ceo Rich Roman, “We think our fibers are better. And with the extra fill, it’s truly a decorator look.”
Columbia’s focus this market is on performance. A new partnership with Thinsulate produced a collection of quilted coverlets sporting outdoorsy prints. Also new are triple-layered jersey throws and a throw that folds into a travel pillow.
Revman has licensed with Wall Candy Arts to produce bedding that reflects or coordinates with the decorative accessory supplier’s wall art. Two looks address dorm/young adult, with two other designs for kids. Wall Candy Art mini sets will include a comforter, sheet set, shams and a sleeve of wall art stickers.
In bath, Revman this market is launching Jantzen beach towel collection in conjunction with the swimwear brand’s 100th anniversary. Beach towels feature retro looks from iconic Jantzen ads from the mid-century.
