Roswell, Ga. —
JLA Home has struck a licensing agreement with interior designer Candice Olson to create a full range of home textiles products for retail, catalog and Internet channels. JLA previewed 10 beds at its new showroom here two weeks ago and will display eight beds in its New York showroom during February Market, said Scott White, senior vp of JLA.
Olson, host of the series "Divine Design" on HGTV-US and Canada's W Network, also has licenses with Kravet Fabrics, Hellenic Rugs, Norwalk Furniture, AF Lighting and York Wallcoverings.
JLA holds global rights to the Olson home textiles license, Scott noted. The company has already developed two exclusive beds for Norwalk Furniture and presented the current introductions to department and specialty stores. "As with our corporate marketing strategy, we intend for our customers to have their own exclusive designs," Scott said.
JLA earlier this year launched home textiles collections under license to fashion designer Josie Natori as well as the Eddie Bauer Home brand.
The Candice Olson collection will include completed bedding ensembles, sheets, blankets, throws, window treatments and other textiles accessories. It will combine contemporary with classic design, accenting traditional motifs with signature finishing treatments such as beading, feathers and faux fur. Several ensembles draw from her TV room makeovers.
"The ensembles are all about my eclectic sensibility," Olson said. "I like a room that has evolved over years as if a designer hasn't been there."
We would love your feedback!
