Foreston Trends adds accent rugs

At the New York Market – Foreston Trends has added accent rugs – and for special orders, even 5-by-8 sizes – to its core assortment of table linens and kitchen textiles, in hopes of giving customers a “more conceptual” product story.
“We’re trying to lead customers to a whole concept of products that work together,” Dick Gould, vp sales, told HTT.
Using everyday-type palettes of blue, green, red and brown, Foreston is taking scatter-size rugs – available in tufted and braided constructions – and pairing them up with placemats and cotton kitchen textiles for a complete look for the kitchen dining nook.
Foreston is also offering other types of rugs -- polypropylene and PVC – in a separate collection. These rubber-backed styles come mainly as 20-by-30-inch pieces and are made to marry to placemats, but not kitchen towels.
Gould said Foreston was prompted by its retail customers to add rugs to its assortment: “It was a natural expansion for us.”
We would love your feedback!
