Springs strikes deal with Serta

Itasca, IL — Springs Industries broadened its licensed family of products, announcing that it has signed a licensing agreement with Serta.

Springs, based in Fort Mill, SC, will manufacture a branded line of pillows, mattress pads and sheets and will unveil the line during the Home Textiles Market in October.

"We see tremendous growth potential with Springs on both the expansion and the promotion of the Serta brand in related product categories throughout the United States," said Susan Ebaugh, Serta's vp of advertising. "Springs and Serta share a strong commitment to brand-building and a far-reaching reputation for outstanding quality.

"This will be a dynamic relationship," Ebaugh also said.

Said Leslie Gillock, Springs vp of brand management, "Combining Springs' quality products and strong retail distribution with Serta's significant brand recognition will bring retailers a unique opportunity for the consumer. We look forward to a successful long-term relationship with Serta.
