Hanes Fabrics opens Dubai window treatments warehouse

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Hanes Fabrics has opened a warehouse facility in Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone, its fourth overseas warehouse. The facility will operates as Leggett & Platt Middle East Inc. (Leggett and Platt is the parent company of Hanes Fabrics.)
Tony Spencer, vp Hanes Fabrics, said, "We have long recognized the growing importance of this market for both residential and contract fabrics and the new warehouse will enable us to give our many drapery lining customers throughout the Middle East the most efficient delivery service possible. We can cut shipping time by 75% and offer the benefit of lower shipping costs versus LCL shipments from the United States."
Beyond the blackouts, interlinings and wide sheer fabrics, the facility in the future will handle a range of other fabrics, the company said. Container sized orders will continue to be serviced from Hanes U.S.A. warehouses and mill locations. Other international warehouses are sited in Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom.
