Safavieh Showing Amagansett Area Rugs

At the New York Market —Safavieh is introducing a new collection of printed sea grass and bamboo area rugs this market.

Titled Amagansett, this natural fiber group is made in China and comes in six designs, each of which is finished with a cotton border.

“Everyone has seen these products in plain natural colors, but this new collection shows our ability to transform the medium with color and design,” said Arash Yaraghi, principal of Safavieh.

The designs are offered in 16 colorways, including a multi-colored stripe, that are inspired by summer themes like beach cottages. These designs are printed using the same techniques used for printed pile rugs.

All standard sizes are available, and a 6-foot-by-9-foot is set to retail for $195.
